Mars, the global food company, is expanding its Csongrád-Bokros plant with an investment of nearly HUF 15 billion, which is of outstanding economic significance. Thanks to the investment, the plant, which produces popular pet food products - dry pet meal and treats - will add 120 new jobs to its local workforce. The plant will produce products from well-known brands such as Pedigree, Whiskas,
and Dreamies. The expansion is scheduled to start in September this year and will be completed by spring 2022.
As part of the investment, Mars plans to expand the capacity of existing technology lines and launch a new research and development program. Mars is committed to creating a better world for pets, but also for the 'owners': the company is keen to support the development of the region. Not only are the developments resulting from this investment of paramount importance for the company, but they will also provide long-term employment opportunities for people living in the region and for suppliers.
